Poor farmers best served by regional seed companiesFarmers in poor countries benefit more from companies from their own region than from multination for access to quality seeds. That was conclude by the first Access to Seeds Index, developed by the Access to Seeds Foundation, an independent organization financed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Dutch Government.
