The methodology for the 2019 Access to Seeds Index was reviewed by 25 experts from around the world.
The Access to Seeds Index has collaborated with 25 experts, representing all index regions and various stakeholder backgrounds. They make up the expert review committees (ERCs) and convene every year to provide advice on the methodology for the global and regional indexes. Find out more about these experts here.
In 2018 a series of ERC meetings took place in Abidjan, Johannesburg, Hyderabad and Amsterdam during which the scope and indicators for the 2019 Access to Seeds Index was discussed. Feedback from these meetings was used to update the draft methodology, which was subsequently approved by the Supervisory Board at the end of 2018.
