The Access to Seeds Index was presented at the first-ever International Agrobiodiversity Congress that was held in New Delhi, India. from 6-9 November, 2016. This international Congress aimed to initiate and encourage a dialogue among relevant stakeholders – including farmers – to better understand everyone’s role in agrobiodiversity management and the conservation of genetic resources.
Researchers from Wageningen University and the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) presented their views on how informal and formal seed systems can work together for the conservation and use of agricultural biodiversity. This presentation included findings from the Access to Seeds Index.
